Dockers' "Man-ifesto" Ad Campaign Recalls Traditional Roles of Men in Culture
Real men are set to wear the pants again, according to a recent Dockers ads for khakis. Dockers writes, "We need heroes. We need grown-ups. . . . It's time to wear the pants."  Dockers is promoting a vision of manhood it thinks will resonate with many men - a message they hope will also make them a ton of money: Read below and be the judge, whether a traditional, if not biblical, view of manhood is making a comeback.
WACMM Video Clips
WACMM makes creative use of video clips in its various presentations to illustrate or summarize teaching points about men and men's issues. We feature clips in our monthly electronic newsletter (sign-up below). Check out these funny, sometimes poignant, clips we've gathered and stored in our VIdeo Vault, which represents the largest collection of videos for men's ministry on the internet today. If you were to die today, what would your children hold in their hands tomorrow that would let them know they were the treasures of your life?
I often speak to men about discovering and savoring their identity, legacy and destiny in Christ. A man’s identity is not found in what he does but who he is because of Christ’s Cross. He leaves a godly legacy by living a godly llife empowered by Christ’s Spirit. His destiny is heaven where he will behold God face to face and where everything will be set right. C. S. Lewis captures something of the nature of our destiny in Christ in the last paragraph of the last book of The Chronicles of Narnia series. READ MORE
Tools for Ministry and Life
"Christian men don’t like the prejudice against them, they complain--sometimes bitterly--in private, but they keep going, though something happens to many of them beginning in their late thirties. Church becomes a chore. And a bore. They go out of duty, not because they receive much inspiration there as men, or truly helpful instruction regarding marriage and gender differences. They go because they feel they have to. If you question this prejudice against men, then ask yourself: Why do men have “Accountability Groups,” at church, yet women have “Fellowship Groups”? Men are treated as if they are one step away from committing felonies. So they require constant monitoring, constant “accountability,” as if they are at risk of jumping a form of spiritual bail." - Paul Coughlin
