On Saturday March 10, 2012 the Washington Area Coalition of Men's Ministries will present its four-hour, multimedia, interactive seminar called "Courageous Men", inspired by the movie Courageous: Honor Begins at Home.
The seminar unpacks several themes from the movie such as What Does It Means To Be a Courageous Man? What is a Courageous Husband? What Does It Mean to Live and Leave a Godly Legacy for Your Chudren? Masculine Leadership
Recently 1,800 pastors from across the country gathered in Minneapolis for the annual "Desiring God Conference for Pastors".. This year's theme was "God, Manhood & Ministry: Building Men for the Body of Christ". John Piper, Sr. Pastor of Bethleham Baptist Church and founder of DG Ministries, spoke on "The Value of Masculine Ministry" and he used the life of the great 19th century churchman J. C. As Go Men, So Go Marriages, Kids, Churches, Culture
Founding Pastor of the Journey Church in St. Louis and author of the book Church Planter, Darrin Patrick gives us a sobering account in this video of what happens when men go missing in the church and older men fail to reach out and connect with the younger generation of men.
Patrick also writes in his book, "...we have a couple of generations of males who were not raised by men and the result is a prolonged male adolescence. In a culture where the influence of godly men is desperately needed, this void results in a legitimate cultural crisis".
