New Man Magazine featured an article about what's wrong
with most men's discipleship efforts:
"We know that as go the men, so go the marriages, families, churches, communities and culture. Today these institutions are in crisis because men are in crisis...Men are largely disengaged, unchallenged,under-led, discouraged, and disconnected. READ MORE

WACMM's Vast Video Vault has the largest collection video clips for men and about men on the internet. Here are a few examples of some that'll make you chuckle:
"God can show Himself as He really is only to real men. And that means not simply to men who are individually good, but to men who are united together in a body, loving one another, helping one another, showing Him to one another. For that is what God meant humanity to be like; like players in one band, or organs in one body." - C. S. Lewis
Some of you may be familiar with the hit A&E reality series "Duck Dynasty" about Phil "Duck Commander" Robertson, his wife and their three bearded sons, who are in the duck call and decoy business in Louisiana. The show that ends with the family praying together at the dinner table has become cable TV's #1 program.
Check out Phil Robertson's riveting testimony about his faith in Jesus Christ HERE. This is the power of the gospel! Phil is my kind of redneck! We're the same age, same rural country roots and he's my Brother in Christ!!
WHAT IS A REAL MAN?
The Apostle Paul tells us how he knew he had crossed over into manhood. In 1 Corinthians 13: 11 he writes, "When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child, BUT WHEN I BECAME A MAN, I did away with childish things."
What a man surrenders to will determine his outcome as a man. Real manhood steps away from childish things. Real manhood means we courageously step up to whatever challenge, temptation or battle we face and do our duty, knowing and delighting in who we are in Christ. Eric Metaxas is the bestselling author of biographies of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and William Wilberforce, He believes we just don't need to talk about manhood, we need to see it in the actual lives of great men. As he explains, "Seeing and studying the actual lives of people is simply the best way to communicate ideas about how to behave and how not to behave." This is a highly recommended book for personal as well as small group study. READ MOREVIDEO CLIP
We men need models and heroes no matter how old we are. This book will encourage your socks off and rivet your attention on mini-bios of several great Christian men.
Collectively their stories will help answer the questions, What is a man? and What makes a man great?
Quote from the Movie Open Range
Mack: Shame what this town's come to.
Charley Waite: You could do something about it.
Mack: What? We're freighters. Ralph here's a shopkeeper.
Charley Waite: You're men, ain't you?
Mack: I didn't raise my boys just to see 'em killed.
Charley Waite: Well you may not know this, but there's things that gnaw at a man worse than dying
Apparently, he was in the elevator one day when a young woman came in. Proctor tipped his hat at her. She was offended and said, 'What is that supposed to mean?' The pastor's response was: 'Madame, by tipping my hat I was telling you several things. That I would not harm you in any way. That if someone came into this elevator and threatened you, I would defend you. That if you fell ill, I would tend to you and if necessary carry you to safety. I was telling you that even though I am a man and physically stronger than you, I will treat you with both respect and solicitude. But frankly, Madame, it would have taken too much time to tell you all of that; so, instead, I just tipped my hat."
Here's a wonderfully illustrative story of what it means to be an authentic man from the life of Samuel Proctor, Pastor of Harlem's Abyssinian Baptist Church:
Biblical Manhood as Chivalry
Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson on the Power of the Gospel
The Gospel 4 Men
"The power of the gospel comes in two movements. It first says, 'I am more sinful and flawed than I ever dared believe,' but then quickly follows with, 'I am more accepted and loved than I ever dared hope,"
