VAN BROCKIN SURVEY - WACMM University
I recently sent out a survey to nearly 500 pastors and men’s leaders to find out what some of the needs are in the local church in regards to men’s ministry leadership. The results so far are very interesting. Here they are:
•
The survey was sent out to 489 pastors and leaders
•
98 completed the survey so far
•
78% of them indicated that the number of men attending their church was less
than 500 (34% from 10 to 100 and 44% from 100 to 500)
•
88% said that their church has a men’s ministry
•
58% said that they have a men’s ministry coordinator on staff
•
44% said that only 25% of their men participate in their church’s men’s ministry
•
46% said that less than 10% of their men participate in their men’s ministry
•
77% said that a staff men’s ministry coordinator concentrating primarily on men’s ministry would improve the participation of their men
•
55% said that they would be interested in being a staff men’s ministry coordinator at their church
As you can see, the majority of churches in the sample are struggling to disciple men effectively. Even though more than half have a men’s ministry coordinator on staff, he is either spread too thin, or perhaps lacking a full understanding of how to reach men.
That is why WACMM University training is vital to the strength of the men’s ministry in the church. We are committed to assist leaders as they strengthen their men’s discipleship ministries.
